CONGRATULATIONS MILPITAS CARRIERS

On your Million Dollar Customer Connect Milestone!

Congratulations to the carriers and staff at the Milpitas Post Office for their outstanding work with the Customer Connect program. This office with about fifty letter carriers has generated over $1,116,000 in new revenue for the Postal Service. Customer Connect Coordinator Lin Zhou and the letter carriers at Milpitas have done an excellent job providing leads that have produced this significant amount of additional revenue. The group’s efforts were recognized when Bay Valley District Manager Kim Fernandez and the marketing team served up breakfast for the Milpitas employees on March 12^th. The carriers at this unit truly understand the importance of assisting the Postal Service in generating revenue that will help secure our employment and provide for our families well into the future. Thank you Milpitas for the outstanding job you have done.

Another office within Branch 193 that has done an outstanding job with the Customer Connect program is Robertsville Station in San Jose. This unit has generated over $500,000 in new revenues. Coordinator Al Denison has led the effort and is employing some rather unique methods to keep the carriers focused on continuing their efforts. Al developed a short skit and convinced three other carriers to assist him in presenting the skit to the workforce. Their effort was well received.

I want to thank Lin and Al and all the coordinators that help generate this revenue. It is important that we parlay the relationships that letter carriers have developed over the years with our customers to provide them with the best possible service at a cost lower than our competitors. Our customers deserve nothing less. Thank you all and keep up the good work! See you at the Union meeting.
